Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University invites you to its Arbitration Week!
In collaboration with the leading minds of the legal fraternity, taking a piece of their minds on the topics of law that are generally missed out, we attempt to provoke the minds of both the young and the experienced. The event is aimed at continuing the zeal to learn, through any means possible: Arbitration Week with leading minds of Arbitration across the world, including Prof. Gary B. Born, widely regarded as the world’s leading authority on Arbitration.

ELIGIBILITY
- Students of 3/5 year LL.B. degree courses from any institution recognized by B.C.I. and LL.M. students are eligible to participate.
- Eligible law students from across the world may also participate.
- In addition, those engaged in the field of law as professionals/academicians/practitioners are also invited.

- No registration Fee.
- Certificates will be given to those who will REGISTER & ATTEND COMPLETE SESSION.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
MR. SAROSH ZAIWALLA
He founded Zaiwalla & Co. Solicitors in April 1982 with offices in Chancery Lane, London. He oversees all the activities relating to the firm which over the years has exported millions of pounds’ worth of legal services. Sarosh was a member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris, from 1990 to 2002. He is also a CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) mediator. He has experience of over 1200 arbitrations.
PROF. GARY B. BORN
He is the chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group, is widely regarded as the world’s preeminent authority on international commercial arbitration and international litigation. He has been ranked, for the past 20 years, as one of the world’s leading international arbitration practitioners and the leading one in London. During the past several years, he has led teams and represented parties which obtained favorable awards or settlements in a number of significant international arbitrations.
MR. ABHISHEK ANAND
He has over 13 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution including complex arbitrations and alternate dispute resolution. His area of specialization covers investment laws, arbitration, environmental laws, energy and mining laws, data regulation, white-collar crimes and all forms of taxes. He has appeared and argued cases on myriad issues relating to these areas before the Supreme Court, almost all the high courts and various tribunals.
MR. KUNAL VAJANI
He is a leading dispute resolution practitioner and Head of Chambers, BlackRobe Chambers, New Delhi. Kunal also holds the distinction of being the Court Member (India), ICC International Court of Arbitration, Paris as well as the Standing Counsel, South Delhi Municipal Corporation. Armed with a law degree [LLB] from Government Law College, Mumbai, India and masters [LLM] from Harvard Law School, Boston, USA. Kunal is also qualified as a Solicitor, Supreme Court of England & Wales. Kunal specializes in litigation and arbitration with his practice ranging across a wide spectrum of civil, criminal and company matters.
MS. VELISLAVA HRISTOVA
She is a Bulgarian qualified lawyer specialising in International Arbitration. She has more than four years of post-qualification experience working in top tier law firms in Bulgaria, the Stockholm office of a leading U.S. law firm and the Vienna office of a magic circle law firm. Velislava holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration Law (ICAL) from Stockholm University (Sweden) and LL.M. from the University of National and World Economy (Bulgaria).
MS. KIRTAN PRASAD
She is Singapore, English and NY qualified commercial disputes lawyer with a specialism in international arbitration. Recognised as a Future Leader in Arbitration by Who’s Who Legal for 2018, 2019 and 2020: “She is one of the most intelligent young lawyers that I have worked with. Her drafting of case and witness statements in big-ticket arbitrations with utmost efficiency is a marvel to watch.”
