The programme is aimed to induct new members in the Moot Court Society from the second-year onwards. This at the same time aims to inculcate within them the importance of learning the skill of mooting along with leadership skills. This programme shall also help the students realise the kind of responsibility being a Society member brings along. This programme would prove to be a great opportunity for the students to be able to manage extra responsibility alongside their academic progress.
THIS INDUCTION PROCESS IS ONLY FOR THE BONAFIDE STUDENTS OF SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH YEAR OF B.A.LL.B. / BBA.LL.B. (HONS.) AND LL.B. (HONS.) STUDYING AT LAW COLLEGE DEHRADUN FACULTY OF UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY
MOOT PROPOSITION
Only applicants who qualify the first round, shall prepare arguments from both sides (Petitioner and Respondent) based on this problem given, and shall submit in the due time.

INDUCTION PROCEDURE
The process is to be conducted via Google meet. There will be multiple levels that the candidates will have to clear in order to finally be inducted into the Society. The candidates shall be notified about all the results via the Society’s Facebook and Instagram page. They shall also be informed personally via SMS text or phone call.
➢ STEP I: Interested students shall fill the google form (from above link) before 12th November, 2020, with the Curriculum Vitae and the application showing his interest in becoming part of the society attached. Applicants who do not comply with the aforementioned requirements subject to terms & conditions shall not be accepted.
➢ STEP II: An essay on any legal topic (1000- 1500 words) should be mailed to the same email address by 21st November, 2020. The email must mention "MCS INDUCTION: STEP II" as the mail’s subject.
➢ STEP III: A written submission of arguments on the Moot Proposition (which has been drafted by the MCS members and shall be provided in advance), must be submitted on the aforementioned email address by 26th November, 2020. The Submission must essentially contain:
• Statement of Jurisdiction
• Argument Advanced (at least 5 pages)
• Prayer
➢ STEP IV: Candidates shall further plead on the Moot Proposition on the days succeeding the submission of Written Arguments, i.e., on 28th November, 2020. The results for the next round shall be declared on the same day.
➢ STEP V: The final round shall be the Personal Interview Round, which shall be conducted on 30th November, 2020. The interview shall be taken by members of Executive Board presided by one or more member of the Faculty Advisory Board.
